MTV3500/MTV5000D 新增功能：即時新聞 及 AVCHD影片播放

當中標示MTV5000D特有：

• 雙Tuner／eSATA／HDMI 1.3
  

注意：MTV3500是HDMI 1.2

共有的功能中，有2點新的值得注意：

• 可直接播放手提攝錄機AVCHD格式影片 (MTV3000沒有*)
  
• 獨有即時新聞 (所有MTV series 會有*)
  
  

疑問2：如果透過MTV去播放AVCHD影片？用甚麼連接方式呢？

The connection is a USB connection, not going through any card reader. As for why, here are several possible reasons:
1. Magic TV user interface may be easier to use by family members. Besides, they won't need to switch TV inputs.
2. Magic TV, with Sigma Designs 8635 decoding and 1080p upscaling, may show a better picture. Of course, your mileage may vary. At least you have a choice.

This feature is intended for HD camcorder, not for BD image or drives ...

疑問3：獨有的即時新聞是透過甚麼方式穫得？新聞的提供者為誰？
答3：透過internet方式以rss方式(?)獲得，是需要用ethernet port

Compared to MTV3000, MTV3500 adds:
- Internal 500GB HDD for reliable recording
- Recorded programme export/copy to external HDD

- Metal chassis for improved heat dissipation

Compared to MTV3500, MTV5000 (single-tuner) adds:
- HDMI 1.3 via Silicon Image 9134
- A new major video feature that is not present in other STB (upcoming firmware)
- Metal chassis of standard AV-equipment width
- Front panel buttons for more convenience

Compared to MTV5000, flagship MTV5000D adds:
- Dual tuner
- eSATA
